Social emotional development and Kindergarten readiness

Being ready for kindergarten
There are times where the games does not go smoothly because no one person is in control of the story. You have to be flexible, wait your turn and work together. This is not always easy for children which is why this is a great game to play.

Skill #2: Verbally communicate needs and feelings in an appropriate manner. One of the hardest parts of teaching young children in their inability to control their emotions and express themselves. I can not tell you the amount of time taken up by tears and children that are unable to tell me what is wrong so we can handle the situation. In the preschool setting we have more time to deal with these types of issues than they do in a kindergarten classroom. It is essential that children learn to express themselves verbally, assert themselves and treat others with respect.

It would be stupid to ignore social and emotional development of girls and the harm from having sex as a child or with an older man who coerced or "groomed" the girl for his own purposes.
just because a 9 or 10 year old girl is menstruating, doesn't mean she should be having sex, or children. any moron knows that.
i find it hard to believe that if you had a 13 y.o. daughter, and she had been pursued by a 30 year old man and was having sex with that man, you would think that was okay. a decent parent, would be pressing charges.
i'm surprised and saddened that you don't already know that an older person of either gender can easily manipulate, coerce, or intimidate a younger person into sexual behavior
